Nix, May 9 in The Bonfire
Like every summer before, Lilythe stood around the campfire watching the new campers file into the benches and sit nervously on the edge of their chairs. Some of them--those who turned 13--were guaranteed to be claimed today. The younger children might not. The parents weren't yet obligated to claim them yet. Still, more and more it seemed that the parents were claiming their kids before they had to."Hello everyone and welcome to Camp Half-Blood. Those of you returning, welcome back." She smiled around the group. "As with the start of every summer, the gods will claim many of their unclaimed children. However, those that remain unclaimed will--as always--be welcome in Cabin 11."
There were many children that were entering the camp and of course Lan was excited to see what was going to happen to them. She knew that each year was different from the last. It was nice to see thing happen. To see the gods pick their children. She had finally gotten to know most if not all of the god's symbols. It was rather interesting. Her favorite was still her mother's symbol though. It meant that she was going to have more siblings. She grinned as she crossed her legs out in front of herself and turned her head once she heard Lilythe start speaking. She was excited now. Where were the drinks?
